Mr. Connors:
I remember a funny story related to your Dad when he and I were working at WYSL:
Jim was always doing these phone bits. One morning (I’m almost positive
it was a Saturday morning, because I generally didn’t work on Saturday) he was on the air and asked his listeners to
call him and tell him the difference between assets and liabilities. I couldn’t resist. I called in on the
“contestant line,” and when he answered he said, “Well, do you know the difference?” I said,
“Yeah; you assets is whats you sits on, and you liabilities is the size of you assets.” He cracked up!
I didn’t know it at the time, but after so many calls he was going to say that nobody had the right answer, and the
difference between assets and liabilities was this; “If you don’t pay your liabilities your ASSETS it jail.”
– which he finally did do! The PD was irritated at both of us, but it was worth it.
When I first worked at WYSL I came on board as a reporter. Because I had worked
as an engineer in another station they asked me to take over as CE when their guy quit to go to another station; which explains
why I was off on Saturday. As CE I worked a 5 day week. Later I left WYSL to go to KQV in Pittsburgh
as a reporter. Jim would call me occasionally – usually at the crack of dawn – to do one of his “surprise
telephone calls.” He really knew how to work the phones.
Best,
Richard Gideon

Hi JC,
Boy it's great the say those initials again. We are great fans of your dad and mom from old rochester, new york. Your mom says I saved your life back in cape cod when you wanted to eat the wrapping
from the tomatoes and was choking on it. So I'm greatful that you are here to do this GREAT tribute for your dad. We see that
you already have a copy of JC and jerry vale in las vegas.
We have some other ones and many other items even a tape of your dad and mom for our anniversary back in rochester,
new york.
My wife used to call your dad up all the time and talk on the radio with him about all the oldies. She even
won the contest that your dad, mom my wife and myself went to vegas where the picture was taken with him.
We got a great story about your dad heckling robert goulet at his performance by yelling to grab him as he walked
down the isle singing and put me on the spot to put a bearhug on goulet as when I caught the bank robber in rochester in 1969.
Your dad was the greatest friend anyone could have. We still love him.

and Nancy Kapitan

Dear Sir:
My name is Dick Gideon, and I worked with your dad back in the 1970’s at WYSL. I considered myself a friend of
his, and I was at his wedding in Buffalo, New York.
In fact, I made an 8mm movie of part of the wedding and gave it to him. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.
I remember visiting him in 1978 on Cape
Cod.
I have a ton of old radio tapes from the WYSL era, as I was chief engineer there during your dad’s time. I’ll
see if I have anything to send you.
Regards,
Richard R. (Dick)

Jesus as a focus in your life and he will guide and direct you in all your decisions.

Jim:
I miss your guestbook which seems to be gone now. I Mobile DJ'ed a wedding New
Years eve at the McKinley Inn in Blasdell. Awesome time! :) The Mobile Dj's are coming to Niagara Falls in June ( Mobile Beat
Show)
Even though I never have met you, your smile and look in the photo is a splittin
image of Dad! :) Scary!
I miss when I was 12 in 1971 and hearing your dad open every show of the week with
"Don't Pull Your Love" He was an icon and Erie was lucky to have him.
Happy New Year!
John

I enjoyed your website on your dad. You have done a nice job.
I run the Official Cass Elliot website and would be intersted in gaining you permission to add your
dad's picture with Cass to our images. Do you know when the meeting between the two of them was or anything about it?

Hi Jim,
My name is Chris Lindsey. I am Jim Prozan's girlfriend of more than 11 years. I have been involved
in the Prozan family for a very long time. Jamie and I have discussed in length your father, and his relationship with Linda,
and lack thereof with his "other" kids. Jim is still very torn between the father he grew up with and the one who
is known as his birth father. The only things told to him about his birth father by Linda, unfortunatly were not very
positive things. I have tried over the years to open Jim up to the possibilties that his father was indeed a good man. But
the stories he remembers the most are the ones from Linda portraying him as an abuser, a drunk and that he walked out
on them. He'd left and had more children and named another son JIM. I think that gets to him
the most...How you name two children the same name?
I have collected some things and photos form Jamie, made copies and put them
away for Jim for the day when he is ready to learn about his birth father, until then, he feels cheated by both fathers. I
think that's what drives him to be the best he can be with our daughters. He is determined to not follow the same patterns
that he knows. Jim is a lonely, angry ,man. I wish that he could open his eyes to see some of the things that you and
your family and frends could see. I think it would help him to let go of some of this anger he holds, but for now his mind
is unchangeable.
I have enjoyed your site, and will check back often.
I know at one time Jim and Christa were speaking although I don't think the two of you have ever
spoken.
Sometimes, the things I read, the pictures I see, the things I find are uncanny. The similarites
in their lives; shows that underneath it all they were blood.
Thanks for letting me go on and on,
Chris Lindsey
