This website has been created in Memory of Jim Connors,
by his son Jim Connors and his Daughter Christa Connors.
JC was a very inspiring, entertaining, and family oriented
man with a huge influence on generations of radio listeners across the Nation.
He was a Father, a Brother, a Son, and Radio Legend.
His sense of compassion and touch knew no bounds. Please share any stories you may have about JC in our feedback forum.
The more stories we collect, the more we can learn more about our Fathers life, and some of his adventures.
Thanks for visiting!
Jim Connors

Just a brief update
for those of you stopping by. I am still working on locating a place to host Dad's air checks, and I am also in the
process of digital conversion of air checks for long term archiving. It's my belief that they should be able to be enjoyed
by anyone who is interested in my father not just through a paid for service. Hopefully, in time, I can iron out the
details and have more vintage air checks up and ready on line for your listening pleasure.
As
the years have slipped by so have some of the updates here. The most recent additions
today were photos of the Connors family in Rhode Island, and that of my sister Christa.
As
I have walked this path of attempting to learn more about my Father, (mean while finding myself almost following in his programmers
shoes – but for me it’s TV) I am learning truly how hard a business this is.
How trust, and loyalties are thrown out the window for the almighty dollar. I
give the old man credit – for back in his day, he had the ability to rise to the cream of the crop and stay there for
quite a while – moving from market taking a station from worst to first. Programming,
as I have known from almost birth, is a fine art that is sometimes based on intuition, luck and convenience. I’m just
glad Dad had his shot during some of the best years of Radio.
It’s
an oversaturated market now, selling what is cool back to those who think cool should be bought. It’s a system we call mass media. A system that divides
a country in war, and policy. A system that informs, enlightens, and enrages…but
not too many years ago – it was an entity that purely entertained.
So sit back and
take a trip to those simpler times, sign the guestbook on your way out.
And stay tuned
for more updates as I can make them.
